French artist JR has worked around the world with women in the favelas of Brazil, inmates in a high-security prison in California and the dancers of the New York Ballet. His super-sized, monochromatic art works, put people centre-stage.
In Summer 2026, JR took on his biggest project yet - an homage to Christo and Jeanne-Claude's 1985 installation Pont Neuf Wrapped - he imagined a mountain range with a cave inside it running 120metres along the oldest bridge in Paris - and then made it a reality.
JR: Life Between Storms is a documentary exploring the life and practice of this risk-taking artist as he realises his dream of La Caverne du Pont Neuf - with the whole of Paris... and the world watching.
